Direct Cremation Service

Not everybody wants to have a funeral service, it may be a personal wish or instructions left to the family of the deceased. This is known as a Direct Cremation. The cremation is carried out without family in attendance, just the Funeral Director with his staff and the crematorium chapel attendant, this usually happens first thing in the morning. As a family business we ensure that this is always carried out to our highest standards, with dignity and respect.

Our Direct Cremation is a fixed service and can not be added to.

We provide the following:-

a) The local removal of your loved one from their place of death (within 30 miles)
No extra charge for outside of business hours. Mileage may be charged on a removal of over
30 miles from our premises.

b) The provision of a suitable coffin and dressing of your loved one. Chapel visits may be arranged
within business hours only at a time agreed with the Funeral Director.

c) The completion of all required paperwork and liaising with the crematorium to arrange a day and a
time for the cremation.

d) The paying of all necessary fees.

e) The provision of a suitable funeral vehicle and necessary staff for attendance at the crematorium.

f) The collection of your loved ones ashes from the crematorium on our next visit. You will then be
able to collect them from us.

g) Should a coffin of 6’2” x 22” or bigger be required this may incur an extra charge.

Full Payment is required 48 hours before the funeral takes place.
